PSV Eindhoven have lined up a deal to bring Mexican forward Andrés Guardado to the club.
The Dutch giants are set to buy 75% of Guardado’s contract from Guadalajara club Atlas, in a deal that would cost them $6.1 million.
The deal is still to be finalised because PSV want to pay in three instalments and because Atlas want to retain a stake in Guardado, who plays on the left wing for both club and country. The Mexicans also want to keep the player until the end of the Apertura league, which starts next month and runs until December.
The 20-year old Guardado has been one of Mexico’s star performers in their so far succesful Copa America tournament and would join fellow Mexico teammate Carlos Salcido, who already plays for PSV.
